Using it will be simple! Just adding the powder to water, shaking it up in a bottle or shaker, then using in any way imaginable!

It does! Making sure Bare*ly could give your coffee that much loved frothability was very important to us. So give that powder some steam and see how it fares 😃

Once you’ve mixed Bare*ly, you should store your mylk in an airtight bottle in the fridge. After that, it’s good for mutliple days in the fridge

Bare*ly will typically seperate if left after unused after shaking - but worries! Simply reshake the remainder and its good to go again

You can make as much or as little as you like! We encourage you to test making & storing different amounts, to find your balance between keeping your mylk readily available and fresh!

Not yet but this is something we are certainly looking into. Given we are such early days, we haven’t quite come this far yet but don’t you worry, a bottle is on our radars and something we certainly see for the future! In the meantime, we suggest you use any bottle you have → what a perfect opportunity to re-use!

After testing different recipes, we found oat was the best for us, as it’s super soluble, so mixes well.
Growing oats also has a lower environmental impact compared to other mylk options, which we love!
Plus, it has a fairly subtle taste which is great for coffee - but you can always add a bit more powder to increase that oaty goodness

We added pea protein to our recipe, as it gives a nice little protein boost to our mylk, as well as helping it to froth

We kept our recipe simple and all natural, because mylk shouldn’t be complicated.
Calcium is added as its a great nutritional add that works great in mylk!
Xanthum gum is a naturally derived thickener, that gives our mylk the creaminess and texture that makes Bare*ly feel good to use
Finally, natural salt is added to balance the flavour

Xanthum gum is a corn-based, all natural fibre that adds a creamy texture to our mylk. Whilst the name sounds a bit daunting, it simply comes from the bacteria (Xanthomonas campestris) used to ferment corn. Researchers have found the gum can also have some positive health effects like helping stabilise blood sugar, encouraging healthy gut growth and acting as a prebiotic. We only use very small amounts, but we hope this eases any concerns!

As Bare*ly is made using oats, so we are sorry to our gluten intolerant friends, but our product is not gluten free.

Liquid milks are typically sold in long-life cartons, which don’t get recycled in Australia - and are made of mostly water.
As Bare*ly is a powder, we can offer it in easily recyclable packaging, that is far more efficient to transport.

COMPANY QUESTIONS

Bare*ly Mylk was founded with a goal to correct the misalignment between choosing plant milk as a more sustainable alternative to dairy but comes packed in a carton that ends up in landfill. Powder not only removed the entire need for aseptic cartons, allowing us to use a recyclable aluminium tin, but allowed us to remove high water content of liquid options too. This meant we could use less packaging, reduce our transportation emissions and provide a plant milk option that doesn’t need a fridge once opened. We think we’re on to something …. Our goal is to also show the capacity for business as a tool for change. Built on sustainability, we strive to ensure our environmental, social and economic impact is a positive one, and whilst we are still figuring things out, balancing this is at the heart of every decision we make.

OUR FAVOURITE QUESTION! Bare*ly represents our quest to make plant mylk that is barely packaged. We think it shows our commitment to minimising our product’s impact on the environment, so we all can live a little lighter.

We do! At Bare*ly we are committed to encompassing all aspects of sustainability which is why we will be donating a percentage of our profits to causes important to us and the Bare*ly community. Stay tuned for more on this front!

We definitely see Bare*ly having a greater range of products than just our beloved oat milk powder. Given we are still in such early days, there’s no new products in the works at the moment, but certainly we look forward to bringing you more!
